Ironmonger Brewing Co, Kirsis Cherry Lambic Ale, Beer Label Design
KIRSIS CHERRY LAMBIC-STYLE ALE:
"KIRSIS means cherry in Latvian. This beer is a tribute to my grandfather, Janis Filipovs, who fled Latvia when the Russians invaded during WWII. His journey led him to England, where he became a paratrooper, fighting for freedom on D-Day. Eventually, his unit made it to Germany, where he met and fell in love with my grandmother, who was liberated from a work camp by his unit. Seeking a new life and opportunity, and with the Statue of Liberty guiding their way, they came through Ellis Island and made America their home. It takes a full year to make this beer. It is a celebration of sacrifice, determination and success. I hope you enjoy it with someone you love and respect. Cheers!" - David Sheets
